Manhattan based JAK BURKE INDUSTRIES LLC was created in 2007 as a means of developing NYC brands. Since February, owner and designer JAK BURKE has been supported by a team of consultants such as the marketing and positioning corporation: Larkin/Volpatt Communications LLC, and IP specialists: Trade Marks to Go Inc; while Blu_Stone Creative House LLC maintains key websites.
JAK BURKE INDUSTRIES LLC is a corporation dedicated to bringing original, whimsical products to life. Merchandise includes apparel, toys, accessories, books and animations. The company leads with two lines: BABY DOES and BUGS WOOGIE to showcase JAKs stylistic designs, bold colors and photographic narratives of New York City.
Ethical business practices and happy customers are the companys priority. Having worked in both the retail industry and the service sector JAK wanted to create a business that implemented a policy of courtesy and fairness to all. Collaboration with experts in the fields of retail commerce, marketing and intellectual properties was also important to JAK. I think my strength derives from a willingness to learn from the best.
JAK BURKE INDUSTRIES LLC seeks to create awareness around social issues. In particular, this company will be concerned with the wellbeing of NYC children and their access to the arts. For every product sold a percentage will be donated to a NYC childrens organization.
MISSION STATEMENT
Grassroots NYC designs at affordable prices
I wanted to create a high-quality product that celebrated the sophisticated tastes of urban infants and their families. Manhattan neighborhoods provided an iconic landscape in which to position narratives and collages. Deeply embedded within the product is my love for New York City. Particular locales, when thread together, create the NYC experience. They do this by blending cultures, drawing artists and lending space for small businesses to bloom. The urban infant encounters that spirit of community, exploration and raw potential in his/her daily experience. For the City child life is indeed rich and never-ending with possibility. The lines Baby Does and Bugs Woogie embody these themes.
